Stained Glass Butterfly Plant Stake Workshop In this workshop you will learn to copper foil and solder your own stained glass butterfly plant stake! With pre-cut glass pieces, you will use copper foil, flux, solder, and wire to create your one-of-a-kind piece. All supplies will be provided, including a potted plant to put your new plant stake in! Colors vary, and will be chosen on a first come, first serve basis. Your piece will be finished and ready to take home by the end of class. Supply Breakdown- Pre-cut glass pieces, Copper foil, leaded solder, flux, wire, and plants Tools Provided- Copper foil burnishing fids, soldering irons, fume extractors, rubber gloves, safety glasses Artist Bio- Stephanie Racine is a glass artist that creates unique pieces that are heavily inspired by nature. Stephanie creates most of her work using the copper foil method, but also works with lead and zinc came for larger or more structural projects. She works most often on art pieces that can be placed anywhere within a space that allows the glass and light to interplay.
